I'm a mixed media artist, photo educator and dog lover. I love photographing dogs, cats, roosters, ducks - you name it; it's always unexpected and fun. Whether your animal baby is fearless or frightened, wild or sedate. I work with you to capture their true personality. The photo shoot can be a free-for-all circus, but never dull. My sense of humor is large and my patience long.

I have been a professional photographer for more than 30 years and an instructor of photography and Photoshop in the Atlanta area. I have photographed everything from weddings to commercial work - my first pro photography job was a cheetah at the San Diego zoo, so I guess animal photography was in my stars.  Over a period of many years I've developed a look and a style that I apply to different subjects.  I create fine-art mixed media works available at art festivals and via my website kathywolfe.com  

Dog + Wolfe represents the perfect blend of my professional expertise and my love for dogs and fun. Riley was my first rescue, in 2000. She went through many health challenges, not the least of which was losing her eyes at age 8. Even so, she was always happy and loving. My heart and my hero - she passed almost 2 years ago.  Her sister Lottie is over 15 and my new hero - defying dire health predictions of her own, she is often the reluctant star of my Instagram feed. Lottie passed away in August of 2017..
